It’s a new year and already you’re making promises and goals that only a team of trained monkeys could approach managing. Don’t get me wrong, its okay to shoot for the moon, however, why not try keeping your boots a little more grounded and your helmet in the same relative airspace. After all, it was just recently that you were running around like a raped ape trying to play “Mrs. Claus.”

It’s okay to take a deep breath. In fact, it is necessary. Reflect on the many blessings you have and hey, how about taking a walk in the woods.

The wild side can wait. A German friend of mine advised that one should clean up in front of their own front door before looking at others. I like this and not only have I swept up last year’s remnants, I have also cleaned my brushes and taken their inventory to see if they are still worthy of gracing the fur of my dance partner and confidant. He truly knows all and keeps it, “in the vault.” Just knowing he is there for me to lend an ear and entertain me with his own bag of tricks is a comfort that I cherish each and every day. I vow to continue to share my wonderful overstuffed pet pajama bag with the young and the young at heart.

And, I hope he continues to teach me new tricks in the new year.

Remember to share your sugars and smiles, that’s stable advice!
